Angela Michele Walker, Miss Charleston 2006 gave one of my favorite vocal performances at the Miss South Carolina Pageant ever when she sang Sarah Brightman’s Italian version of “Memory” from the Broadway Musical Cats (Italian title-“Piano”.) I came across the dvd of that year’s pageant today and thoroughly enjoyed seeing it again. Love this song…love this rendition of it…and love seeing Angela’s performance! She placed 1st runner-up that year and was a preliminary talent winner but I’ve always said that based on her showing that evening with her talent, beauty, poise and polish, I could’ve easily seen her being crowned (and a deserved win it would’ve been!)
