Counting down the days till New YearsI don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22
So excited for the new year, and all that is to come! This has always been my absolute favorite home on the Battery, the ever so charming, Compromise House. The story goes…a young couple couldn’t decide which architectural style they wanted to highlight on the front of their home after marrying. The young bride loved Italian architecture and the newlywed groom loved Greek architecture, so they decided to lovingly compromise. Compromise is very important in a marriage and relationships, but no husband should ever force you to compromise your faith in God, your relationships with family, your self esteem, or expect you to accept physical or emotional abuse while you stay silent, to protect his “reputation and integrity” Those that truly know the love of God will love you unconditionally and not just take advantage of you while only focusing on their desires and reputation, but will acknowledge their issues and try to change for the better, for the team.
